Biography

Prof Liz Reymond is a palliative care physician with over 20 years’ experience and holds fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and with The Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Liz is Director of Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Support and Pharmacy Service, and Co-Director of the Statewide Office of Advance Care Planning and the Queensland-wide PallConsult service. She is currently directing various palliative care projects including the national caring@home projects.

Jane Smith

Biography

Associate Professor Jane Smith is a specialist GP and Academic Head of General Practice in the MD Program at Bond University. Her research interests have included: skin cancer, journal clubs, immunisation, medication use, antimicrobials and package size, chronic disease management and prevention, recurrent thrush, fever, medical education and assessment.
She has experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
At Bond University, she created the GP curriculum and learning activities for the medical students to include aligned teaching, GP work place based activities and assessments.
Chairing the Bond University, Faculty of Health Science and Medicine, sustainability committee and teaching pre-intern medical students about becoming more environmentally sustainable in GP clinical practice was the inspiration for this presentation. She is also a co-author of Balancing the risks and benefits of sun exposure: A revised position statement for Australian adults, so able to present a summary of the recommendations if so desired.

Dr Chris Soo is a lived experience ADHD GP, educator and advocate, working near exclusively with ADHDers, neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health here on the sunny Gold Coast.
Chris is a firm believer that GPs can make a massive difference to the current bottlenecks in ADHD care, and is passionate about empowering GPs to become more aware and involved, without adding any extra stress to their workday.

Dr Terri-Lynne is both a Medical Doctor (GP) and an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a specific interest in obesity management and health conditions associated with a higher BMI.
She has over 25 years of experience as a healthcare professional and is the current chair of the RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practice) Specific Interest Group in Obesity Management.
Terri-Lynne is the medical director of a community-based multi-disciplinary health centre that focuses on education, personal advice, and holistic management of any health condition associated with a higher BMI.
She is a member of several national organisations that promote multi-dimensional advocacy for people living with obesity.

Dr Josh Stevens is a General Practitioner based on the Sunshine Coast and a RACGP Head of Training in South East QLD for GP training. He is passionate about shaping the future of General Practice education and training, ensuring that the next generation of GPs is equipped with the skills needed for an evolving healthcare landscape. He emphasises the need for digital literacy, ensuring that future GPs are proficient in emerging technologies that enhance patient care and streamline healthcare delivery.

Josh is a strong advocate for strengthening the GP pipeline. He is also passionate about healthcare accessibility in regional and rural areas, working to drive system changes that improve access to affordable, high-quality primary care for communities across Queensland.

Clinically, Josh has a special interest in skin cancer medicine.

Josh sits on the QLD Faculty Council. He believes in progressive leadership and strategic innovation, ensuring that General Practice remains strong and adaptable in the face of evolving healthcare challenges.
