Biography

Dr Sarah McDonnell MBBCh, FRACGP, PG Dip Derm, MPH

Dr Sarah McDonnell has been practising as a GP for 20 years in variety of settings In Ireland and Australia and is co-founder and owner of Neighbourhood Medical in Bardon, Brisbane.

Sarah has a special interest in women's health, particularly menopause medicine and endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain. She is a member of the Australasian Menopause Societyand has offered dedicated menopause consultations at Neighbourhood Medical since opening the clinic in 2020.

Sarah holds Masters in Public Health (Monash) with a focus on health systems including funding and change management, and is passionate about primary care and the importance of generalist in our health system.

Geoff Mitchell

Biography

Dr Geoff Mitchell retired from general practice in June 2024. He worked as a partner for at Limestone Medical Centre in Ipswich for almost 40 years, and in the General Practice Department at UQ for 23 years. He has been involved in advancing care in his community all of that time, Highlights were; joint founder Ipswich Hospice, initiating headspace in Ipswich, and being part of GP organisations from their outset. Highlights at UQ included: Head of the School of Medicine at Ipswich Campus 2009-2014, and the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people on the planet. His research was predominantly in GP aspects of palliative care.

Biography

Dr Chris Moller is a General Practitioner and former Australian Defence Force Medical Officer with the Australian Army. While in the military he provided clinical care in a range of environments and conducted research in support of force health protection for the Australian Defence Force Malaria and Infectious Diseases Institute. In the civilian setting he has worked in rural and urban general practice, as well as engaging in clinical research. With a focus on military and veteran health, Dr. Moller combines his clinical expertise with his own experience of the Defence environment to support patients transitioning to civilian life.

Biography

Professor Mark Morgan is a passionate advocate for excellence in education, clinical practice, and evidence-based medicine. He is Professor of General Practice at Bond University where he co-leads the Doctor of Medicine program. He chairs the RACGP Expert Committee for Quality Care, guiding the development of national clinical guidelines and healthcare policy. Mark’s research focuses on leveraging health data to implement guidelines and improve care for chronic conditions. With over 20 years of experience as a GP in diverse Australian settings, he continues to practice on the Gold Coast.
