Biography

David Tadj is GP obstetrician, practice owner and medical entrepreneur who works and lives in Albany, Western Australia. He is the founder of Pioneer Health Albany, a large regional medical practice, as well as the founder of Pioneer Health Solutions, a consultancy business dedicated to supporting general practices operate sustainably. David has a passion for bringing innovation and improved productivity to health care settings. He is a past chairman of his local GP network and in this capacity, he oversaw the development of the MMEx software in conjunction with the University of Western Australia. Whilst at Great Southern GP Network he also guided the inception of Amity Health, a not-for-profit health service that has grown to provide a wide range of services through 9 offices throughout the Great Southern and Wheatbelt region. David is married with one son and enjoys fishing, travelling and cooking in his spare time.

Biography

Deb is a Fellow of the AAPM and a Non-Executive Board Director.  She is the Practice Manager and Practice Owner of Sanctuary Medical Practice Fletcher, NSW for the past 12 years.  Deb also works as an Accreditation Surveyor visiting GP practices in Australia to assess their compliance to the RACGP 5th edition practice standards and is a trained NDIS auditor. Being the mum of a son living with Spina Bifida and intellectual disability, she is passionate about accessibility and inclusion in healthcare. This year she was selected to participate in the Social Impact Fellowship 2024 and to further support all these roles, she is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Wright has worked as a GP in Australia and England, been a practice owner, and completed a PhD in health economics in 2019. A respected leader and advocate for general practice, he has held multiple appointments with universities, health organisations, and the RACGP, including Chair of the College’s Expert Committee for Funding and Health System Reform and Deputy Chair of the NSW/ACT Faculty Council.

His vision is to improve the performance and sustainability of the Australian health system through improved funding and health system reform, focusing on the strengthening and better integration of general practice and primary care into the broader health system. I achieve this by combining clinical practice with robust research and through strong collaboration and advocacy with health providers, policy makers and funders.
