Biography

Rob’s career has focused on public health with extensive experience in government, not-for-profit and private sectors. After a stint in Melbourne – where he held roles at CSIRO as Director of Health and Biosecurity, National Director of Cardiovascular Health at the Heart Foundation, and Senior Medical Advisor at the Department of Health Victoria – he returned to Natimuk in 2020 and shortly after commenced as Public Health Physician Specialist in the Grampians Public Health Unit.
Rob has specialist expertise in health system analysis, strategic planning, governance, health risk management, and equity-focused care. He is passionate about access to healthcare in rural communities and bringing innovative systems to improve equity in regional settings.

Biography

John is a practising GP of 38 years’ experience. He is currently Vice Chairman of the RACP Standards Committee, Conjoint Clinical Lecturer WSU, member of ACI General Practice Advisory Committee, and AGPAL practice surveyor, John continues to see patients in Rural Northeast Victoria and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill. He has previously been Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Healius Medical Centre Division supervising 80 practices and over 1000 health professionals.
Outside medicine John is married with 3 grown up kids, continues to play football weekly, is gradually learning Italian and trying to survive regular swims around Shark Island in Sydney.

Dr Kaylor-Hughes is a Senior Research Fellow in applied mental health research. She is a neuroscientist with over 20 years' research experience in the UK and Australia, specialising in implementing mental health research into primary and secondary care through pragmatic clinical trials. Her leadership of mental health trials has resulted in implementation of collaborative care practices, improved services for people with moderate and severe mental ill health and educational advancements for medical teaching. She is currently academic lead for the integration of the Link-me model of care into the Commonwealth's Medicare mental health website and Co-lead of the Primary Care Mental Health Program within the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Joe McTigue is a GP. His second passion of cryptography related software development lead to Co-Founding Silknote, a privacy and security focused AI Scribing platform.

As a GP he is a representative to the National Primary and Acute Care Data Linkage Project. He has collected rewards for identifying and reporting active security vulnerabilities and is an advisor to the Critical Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (CI-ISAC) on the healthcare pilot that will inform cyber threat intelligence in the other 10 critical infrastructure sectors.
