Dr Balendran is a General Practitioner, Managing Associate, and Co-Owner at Tindale Medical Hub, with a strong clinical focus on women’s health, children’s health, and mental health. She holds a Diploma in Child Health and is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Dr Balendran is a dedicated educator and currently serves as a GP Registrar Supervisor while also teaching medical students. She is a graduate of the RACGP Future Leaders Program and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, combining clinical expertise with strong leadership and governance skills. Her commitment to mental health extends beyond the clinic where she has contributed to several mental health focus groups and served on the Head to Health Advisory Committee in Penrith, helping to shape community-based mental health services. Dr Owen Bradfield is the Chief Medical Officer of the Medical Indemnity Protection Society (MIPS). Owen is a medical practitioner, health lawyer and health law researcher, with 15 years’ experience in the medical indemnity insurance industry. He has advised and represented health practitioners in a range of medico-legal disputes, including civil claims, regulatory complaints, employment disputes, Coronial inquests and Medicare investigations. Owen passionately advocates for fair regulatory and legal processes for healthcare practitioners and supports practitioners who are navigating complex medico-legal issues. Owen combines his role at MIPS with health law research at the University of Melbourne, where he examines the intersection between doctors’ health and legal claims. Dr Stephen Duckett is an Honorary Enterprise Professor in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Melbourne. He has held top health sector leadership positions in Australia and Canada and literally wrote the book on the Australian health care system (Oxford University Press, 6e, 2022). He is Chair of the Board of Directors of Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network and was a member of the Strengthening Medicare Task Force and the Review of General Practice Incentives. An economist, he is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, and of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in January 2023 for significant service to public health policy and management, and to tertiary education.

With postgraduate qualifications in business and internal medicine, Dr Going brings a unique perspective that combines clinical expertise with health system efficiency. Dr Going is also a national educator and administrator with Business for Doctors, where he delivers high-impact workshops, conferences, and online training on MBS billing and practice optimisation. Dr Floyd Gomes is the Founder, Director and practising General Practitioner at Atticus Health. Prior to studying medicine, he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Finance) and worked in banking. After becoming a GP in 2013, he went on to create Atticus Health which now includes 10 medical clinics across Victoria and Queensland. In 2017 Atticus Health was awarded RACGP General Practice of the Year, Australia. Dr Gomes is especially interested in aged care, and has a passion for helping older people live at home. This purpose spurred him to create Mark & Sylvie’s Home Care, named after his late parents. Dr Gomes is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration at Melbourne Business School.

Outside of work, Dr Gomes is a father of five beautiful kids who’ll all give you a beautiful run for your money in an argument! He’s fortunate to have found a true companion in his wife, Dr Nathalie Gomes, who is an anaesthetist. However, most of the time he puts her to sleep with his stories! His hobbies include gardening (especially native plants), pets (too many), the beach and running (slowly).
