Research abstracts have been received for presentation at the 61st Clinical Update's general practice research plenary.

Presentation time and date: 9.00 am, Saturday 4 May 2019
Venue: Ballroom 3, Sofitel Brisbane Central

Abstracts must describe research conducted in general practice, or of direct relevance to general practice. At least one general practitioner, or general practice registrar, must be a member of the research team. Preference will be given to completed research, but abstracts of work in progress will be considered.

There are two categories of abstract submission, student and GP. To be eligible for the student abstract submission, a significant part of the project must have been undertaken while the applicant was a student. Please indicate the category under which you are submitting your abstract. 

Abstracts must be a maximum of 250 words and structured under the headings;

  • Background
  • Aims
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

If you abstract is selected for presentation, you will be offered a 10-minute presentation with five minutes for questions as well as complimentary conference registration. GP presentations will be for the RACGP Queensland Research Medal. All presentations will be eligible for an audience prize.
