Details
Designed and facilitated by experienced rural general practitioners (GPs) and emergency specialists, this Emergency Medicine workshop aims to enhance rural emergency medicine skills using case scenarios that reflect the challenges faced when living and working in rural and remote communities.
This face to face workshop involves five small-group interactive case scenario discussions as well as an exploration of the critical considerations involved in managing rural emergency cases, packaging patients for retrieval, communicating effectively with retrieval teams, debriefing and self-care.
All the scenarios included in the workshop are written by experienced rural GPs from actual cases.

RACGP Rural is committed to addressing rural disadvantage focusing our efforts toward strategies which lead to more equitable access to healthcare. The capacity of the health system to respond to current and emerging pressures in rural and remote Australia is a central focus for RACGP Rural.
