Thursday, November 21, 2024 |
1:40 PM - 2:40 PM |
Meeting Room 6 (Level 2) |
Details
60min clinical workshop | Around 24% of RACGP and 42% of ACRRM registrars train in smaller rural towns, where there is an excellent scope of training opportunities, but there is a need to deliver training within limited resources for supporting GP training.
This workshop will explore, using evidence from GPs, practice staff and stakeholders, what their experiences have been concerning the challenges related to training in limited-resource settings and the value of the solutions in place. It will then present on the key elements of an evidence-informed model which has matured over time, delivering excellent results for building the satisfaction and retention of registrars in settings that are typically challenging for GP work and training.
