60min clinical workshop | This session will involve a brief discussion of the evolution of small group learning including the evidence base behind it, presentation of the approach to small group learning in South Australia and other states, discussion of facilitation skills and an interactive simulation exercise where the skills learnt are put into action.
Learning outcomes;
At the end of the session attendees will -
- Have a greater understanding of Peer Driven Small Group Registrar Learning at the RACGP.
- Be able to describe some of the skills required to facilitate small group learning.
- Demonstrate small group facilitation skills in a simulated small group learning activity.

Biography
Simon Hay is a Scottish trained GP who has practiced in rural, outer metropolitan and metropolitan areas of South Australia. He has worked in GP Training in South Australia for over ten years and is now the SA Regional Director of Training for the RACGP where he heads up an amazing team of medical educators.
