Track 7

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
River View Room 5 (Level 2)

Details

60min clinical workshop | The impact of climate change on us and our patients, is lived experience but also somewhat overwhelming. Healthcare generates a bigger carbon footprint than it should, whilst hospitals make the biggest contribution, general practice still makes a significant impact. Much result from prescribing, but many other patterns of practice also play a big role. All GPs should feel some obligation to minimise their practising impact on the environment.

This presentation is about stimulating GPs about ways and means to adopt evidence based sustainable clinical practice to reduce our negative environmental impact, in pragmatic and meaningful ways that are within the reach of all of us.
