60min clinical workshop | The crisis of decreasing interest in general practice, and particularly in sustainable rural and remote practice, affects many of our colleagues, our registrars, our international medical graduates, our training providers and the many other stakeholders who are grappling with this problem. In this workshop, a panel of experts will outline their understanding of rural and remote general practice workforce issues.
Learning outcomes;
- Share innovative ways of dealing with the workforce crisis in rural and remote Australia
- Improve collaboration with our rural and remote colleagues and with the different stakeholders
- Discuss practical and meaningful solutions that can be implemented now, or advocacy for future changes.

Biography
Dr Jill Benson is part of the RACGP Training Pipelines and Remote Supervision Team with Tim Linton, Lawrie McArthur and Hannah Quigley. She has been a GP in urban, rural and remote areas for 45 years and is passionate about general practice.
