Learning outcomes

1. Understand how to select and prepare suitable low-risk home-based alcohol withdrawal patients
2. Create a safe home-based alcohol withdrawal plan with suitable support, monitoring and post-withdrawal management.
3. Apply the RACGP’s online AOD clinical resource library to support effective, timely, and evidence-based patient management.

Biography

Paul is a GP with two decades of experience working in both rural and urban Victoria. He has incorporated a special clinical interest in Alcohol and Other Drugs within his GP and medical education work, and has developed a strong following and expertise in this area.

Biography

Lizette is a policy, strategy and project delivery expert with a wealth of experience in UK and Australia coordinating initiatives to address key determinants of health. Lizette played an instrumental role in shaping the AOD GP Education Program, collaborating with a team of GP educators and multidisciplinary experts in the program’s design, development and delivery.
