Biography
Timothy leads health advocacy and policy for MIGA, engaging in a wide range of inquiries, reviews and debates.
For many years he acted for doctors in medico-legal matters.
Timothy is an Adjunct Fellow, Western Sydney University Schools of Medicine and Law and an Australian Health Law Bulletin editorial board member.

Strangulation presenting as domestic violence in GP

Strangulation is a potentially lethal act. It is a common and serious form of domestic violence and clinical recognition is challenging. This presentation will inform on symptoms, signs, sequelae and management with an emphasis on the GP role.
Biography
After several years in General Practice Rosemary commenced on a Sexual Assault roster and went on to develop an interest in Domestic Violence and Child abuse. She is a Visiting Medical Officer at RPA and Liverpool Hospitals and has a foundation Fellowship in Clinical Forensic Medicine RCPA.
Rosemary is committed to medical education in these areas of interpersonal violence where forensics and a recognition of the needs of the whole person overlay.
