Details
In this heady era of artificial intelligence, popular media has heralded the extinction of doctors with editorials such as “The AI doctor will see you now.” The prevailing view among informatics experts is more balanced: doctors who use AI will replace doctors who don’t. Beneath the hype, what are the actual opportunities for AI in primary care? We will give a primer of machine learning for clinicians, showcase some examples of AI in action in primary care, and look to the future at emerging technologies that need clinical champions.
