Biography

Megan studied post graduate medicine at the University of Queensland graduating in 2003. She enjoyed providing General Practice care to families in Brisbane until 2023. Since 2023 she has been providing clinical voluntary assisted dying services for Metro South Health and Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Support Unit.

Biography

Originally from Colombia, Fabian is a GP by training and the current Director of the Metro South VAD Support Unit. He was closely involved in the implementation of voluntary assisted dying in Queensland and Since the commencement of the scheme in January 2023, he has been providing clinical leadership in ensuring quality care and compassionate support for patients accessing VAD and their families.

Biography

Prof Liz Reymond is a palliative care physician with over 20 years’ experience and holds fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and with The Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Liz is Director of Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Support and Pharmacy Service, and Co-Director of the Statewide Office of Advance Care Planning and the Queensland-wide PallConsult service. She is currently directing various palliative care projects including the national caring@home projects.
