Dr Tony Bayliss is a GP and has been a practice owner in the West Moreton region of Queensland for the past 9 years. He is presently Chair of DDWMPHN and the PHN Co-operative as well as a Member of the RACGP Queensland Faculty and the RACGP REC - Funding and Health System Reform. He is currently completing an MSc Public Health (Health Services Management, Health Economics) at the LSHTM. Prior to commencing his medical career, Tony work in Corporate Finance for a (then) Big-5 accounting firm. He maintains a strong interest in both the clinical aspects of primary health care and the decision-making processes that underpin evidence-informed health policy.

A/Prof Michael Clements is a Townsville based General Practitioner and practice owner with a background in health leadership and clinical and corporate governance and he is the RACGP Rural Faculty Chair. A/Prof Clements has accrued a wide variety of skills and special interests in his time with the Royal Australian Air Force and then with QLD Health as Director of Medical Services at Ingham Hospital before opening his private practices in Townsville while concurrently working for the QLD Rural Generalist Training Pathway as an advisor. Having worked in rural, remote and overseas clinical environments during and after his fellowship training Michael now gets his ‘rural fix’ by flying himself and other clinicians to remote towns in the Gulf of Carpentaria delivering GP clinics. Clinical interests include veterans’ health, mental health, chronic disease and palliative care. Michael is an Honorary Associate Professor with James Cook University.
