This session will offer an overview of Medicare compliance, detailing types of non-compliance, our proportionate responses and how we identify non-compliance and our evolving approaches to new challenges.
We will discuss topical compliance concerns and examine common non-compliant general practice claiming through scenario-based case studies. Delegates will also benefit from a discussion of our new Compliance Strategy and an analysis of BID’s 2025-30 compliance priorities for general practice. There’ll also be an opportunity for questions and answers.
Learning Outcomes: • Identify key types of Medicare non-compliance, understand detection and response processes, and apply case study insights to recognise common claiming issues in general practice. • Participants will gain an understanding of the latest Compliance Strategy and the BID’s 2025–30 compliance priorities to support informed, compliant decision-making in their practices.
