Biography
John Deery has made many mistakes in his business journey. Eventually seeking wisdom from others, he honed his leadership style and is now a proud 13-year survivor of business ownership with his wife, Mel. Together, they have expanded from a single clinic to three thriving practices staffed by 50 GPs, and are currently developing a new 20-room facility. Guided by values-based leadership, John believes the best patient care is delivered in GP-led practices, which inspired him to establish the Australian GP Alliance to advocate for owners and provide education. He thrives on coaching his team and trusts in their expertise, recognising that a great team, committed to excellence, fosters superior outcomes. With an unwavering focus on innovation, collaboration, and quality care, John wants to make GP great.
