Details
For almost 30 years, the RACGP’s profession led Standards for general practices have served as a benchmark and guide in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The next edition is due to be published in November 2025.
This new addition aligns with Standards’ aim to provide a framework for general practices to continuously improve, identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and effectively allocate resources.
Learning Outcomes: • Accreditation against standards seeks to improve patient safety and quality of the healthcare, foster continuous quality improvement and practice safety culture, and promote patient-centredness • Environmental sustainability is a core responsibility. General practices have an ethical and professional duty to minimise their environmental impact. • Successful implementation of environmental sustainability requires leadership and engagement from the entire practice team. Developing, embedding and maintaining a culture of sustainability in each general practice is key. • Attendees will gain increased awareness of new sixth edition, including actionable sustainable strategies, from energy-saving practices to procurement and waste reduction, to integrate new changes into daily operations.
