Traditional one-on-one GP consultations limit efficiency and patient engagement in chronic disease management. Shared Medical Appointments (SMAs) offer a scalable, profitable solution, improving both patient outcomes and practice revenue.
This session delivers a scalable, financially viable approach to chronic disease management, improving practice sustainability and patient care.
Learning Outcomes: • Develop a structured SMA model to improve efficiency in chronic disease management. • Utilize SMA billing structures to increase revenue per hour by 55%, while ensuring patient engagement. • Identify patient cohorts suited for SMAs, addressing logistical and implementation challenges. • Create an action plan to pilot an SMA program in their practice within existing MBS and compliance frameworks.
