Tech Spotlight Session 1. Presented by MediQo (10min) Title: Beyond Scribes: Where AI Is Actually Making (and Losing) Practices Money Outline: This session explores where medical practices are unintentionally losing money today — from missed and abandoned calls, incorrect consult lengths, and under-claimed MBS items, to inefficient follow-up processes and fragmented workflows. Drawing on real world examples of AI already in use across Australian practices, we will examine how AI is moving beyond scribes to support reception, bookings, billing, telehealth, documentation, and patient communication Presenter: Mr Matthew Nott 2. Presented by CloudHolter (10min) Title: CloudHolter versus ‘Old Holter’. Outline: This presentation will introduce CloudHolter, a next-generation, cloud-enabled ambulatory ECG monitoring service designed for modern general practice. CloudHolter replaces traditional Holter monitoring with a bulk-billed, point-of care diagnostic solution that delivers faster, clearer, and more predictable outcomes for clinicians, practices, and patients. The presentation will compare legacy Holter monitoring (Old Holter) versus CloudHolter, highlighting improvements in workflow efficiency, diagnostic speed, clinician experience, and patient satisfaction. Where traditional Holters are slow, labour intensive, and often frustrating for staff and patients, CloudHolter offers a scalable, predictable, and future-ready alternative aligned with contemporary models of care.
