Administration automation and AI

10:30 - 11:15

Andrew Olsen is the Director of Donnabrook, a boutique advisory firm specialising in modern communication platforms and the practical application of AI within them. He works with organisations across healthcare, NDIS, and community services to reduce administrative burden, improve call handling, and turn everyday interactions into structured, actionable data. His expertise focuses on how AI is embedded within communication workflows—such as automating documentation, enhancing patient engagement, supporting compliance, and generating operational insights from conversations. Rather than AI in isolation, Andrew’s work centres on real-world implementation within frontline environments like general practice. Andrew takes a vendor-agnostic approach, helping organisations evaluate and adopt the right technologies for their needs, with a focus on outcomes that are practical, scalable, and aligned to day-to-day operations

Mr Matthew Reid
Principal Consultant
Delfenix

Administration automation and AI

10:30 - 11:15

Matt is the Founder of Delfenix, an independent advisory firm that helps healthcare organisations make smarter, unbiased decisions about technology and transformation. With over 25 years’ experience across healthcare and large-scale retail, Matt has worked with multi-site organisations facing many of the same pressures as general practice today, rising administrative workload, fragmented communication, and the need to improve patient access without increasing headcount. His work focuses on simplifying operations, improving the patient experience, and reducing cost through practical, well-targeted use of technology. He has led transformation programs across communications platforms, service delivery models, and the introduction of AI capabilities such as call transcription, automation, and operational analytics - always grounded in real-world outcomes and measurable impact. Matt specialises in turning complex technology into clear, actionable business cases and guiding organisations through the people, process, and technology changes required to make them successful. He works closely with practice owners and leadership teams to assess current challenges, identify quick wins, and define a clear, low-risk path forward. On this panel, he brings a pragmatic perspective on how AI and automation can be introduced into both small and large general practices to reduce administrative pressure, improve patient access, and support better care delivery - without adding unnecessary complexity or disruption.
