In this session GPs will be updated on recent advances in genetic testing and how these can be used in general practice. Topics covered will include prenatal, cancer and general conditions.

Michael is a clinical geneticist and current President of the Australasian Association of Clinical Geneticists. He has authored thirty peer-reviewed publications and two book chapters. Currently, Michael is co-ordinating and delivering Australasia’s first online Masters course in Diagnostic Genomics through the Queensland University of Technology.
Betsy is a genetic counsellor working for the specialised obstetric radiology practice, SO+GI. She co-ordinates research at the University of Queensland Dermatology Research Centre and is a research assistant at UQ Diamantina Institute.
Melanie is a senior genetic counsellor with Genetic Health Queensland. She has a strong background in all aspects of genetic counselling, but specialises in cancer genetics.
