Spirometry demystified – a practical case based presentation
4:00 PM - 5:30 PMBiography
Dr Lydia Mowlem is a dual trained Consultant, having trained in Internal Medicine before subspecialising in Thoracic and Sleep Medicine. She graduated from the University of Auckland in 2000 and completed her training in New Zealand before travelling to undertake a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2013. The relaxed and beautiful lifestyle of Queensland proved too tempting, and she crossed the ditch. She now consults from Peninsula Private Hospital in Redcliffe. She is particularly interested in the multisystem management of respiratory disease realising that most respiratory often have complex multimorbidity and reduced quality of life. She believes in providing optimal care to each individual. She believes medicine should not be complicated and a simple approach to care is often best. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and time with the family. She is a member of professional organisations:
• Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians
• Member of Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand
• Member of Australasian Sleep Association
• Member of the Redcliffe Districts Medical Association
